Tree Planting Project Social Action at Work  September 2013 Volunteers from Temple Emanu-El worked with the New Jersey Tree Foundation  and the Forest Hills Community Association to plant trees along Highland Avenue  in Newark. They dug holes, did battle with underground rocks and tree roots and  helped plant 25 beautiful trees. The Temple Emanu-El Social Action committee  plans to coordinate another tree planting in the Spring.
